This is a genuine WW2 German 20mm FLAK High-Explosive (HE) round, professionally cut in half for museum and educational purposes. It is completely INERT and safe, making it ideal for display.  
 
- Original shell casing stamped 1944 with faint Waffenamt markings 
- HE warhead with original yellow paint (very rare!)
- Cutaway section—date marking was on the other half
