This is a superb example of a British WWII Officer’s Map Case, clearly dated 1944 and stamped with original broad arrow and manufacturer markings.

Constructed from sturdy canvas with leather trim, this was standard issue for British officers in the field during the Second World War.

What makes this example truly unique is the hand-drawn directional sketch inside, added by the original wartime user to help with map orientation in the field—a rare and personal touch that brings the piece to life. The drawing shows how the officer customized the case to assist with quick reference and navigation under combat conditions.

The case is in excellent condition for its age, with working press studs, intact straps, and a clean interior. A fantastic display item with a genuine trace of wartime use, perfect for collectors of British WWII gear or those interested in military cartography and officer equipment.
