Up for sale is an impressive WWII Luftwaffe mess hall porcelain salad bowl, manufactured in 1942 by Bavaria. This large and heavy piece weighs over 2 kg, with a diameter of 26 cm and a height of 8 cm – making it a substantial and highly functional serving item of the period.
 
The bowl is in absolute mint condition, a rare survival given its age and intended daily use in Luftwaffe dining facilities. It features the classic Luftwaffe acceptance marking, ensuring authenticity and wartime provenance.
 
Due to its exceptional size and weight, this bowl would have been used for communal serving in Luftwaffe mess halls, and finding one so well-preserved today is extremely uncommon.
