A beautiful example of the Mother’s Cross in Bronze (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter), awarded to mothers of large families as a mark of honor and recognition.
 
This decoration was first presented on 21 May 1939 (Mother’s Day in Germany) and was traditionally awarded on subsequent Mother’s Days throughout the period. The bronze grade was given to mothers with four to five children, silver for six to seven, and gold for eight or more.
 
This piece comes with its original long ribbon, well-preserved and showing vibrant color. The cross itself is in very good condition, with a clean bronze finish and sharp details.
