An outstanding example of the Mother’s Cross in Bronze (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter), awarded as a mark of honor to mothers of large families.
 
This decoration was first presented on 21 May 1939 (Mother’s Day in Germany) and thereafter awarded each year on Mother’s Day. The bronze grade was awarded to mothers with four to five children.
 
The cross is in mint condition, with flawless enamel and sharp details. It comes with its original ribbon, beautifully preserved and neatly sewn together for proper display and wear.
