Instruments like these were not only used in machine shops and engineering workshops, but also employed by the German military for the precise leveling and aiming of heavy weapons and artillery. Their reliability and precision made them a vital tool wherever accurate alignment was critical.

This particular example is in excellent condition, with clean, clear vials and crisp factory markings. The solid metal body retains its original finish, and the wooden storage box remains in outstanding shape – a rare survivor in this state after more than 80 years.

unique and scarce piece of precision engineering history, suitable for serious collectors of WWII militaria, vintage measuring instruments, or anyone who appreciates German craftsmanship at its finest.
