This piece is an unusual variant — officially maker marked “L/56”, yet the needle is stamped “116”, a very uncommon combination that makes this example particularly desirable for advanced collectors.
 
The badge itself is made of iron, with the needle also crafted from iron, ensuring solid wartime quality. It features a brass block hinge and a brass question mark catch, both characteristic of early to mid-war production.
