A fine example of an early-war Wehrmacht utility knife, dated 1939 and produced by WSM (Wilhelm Süss Military, Solingen).
 
The knife has retained its authentic wartime character, showing the correct period details and solid construction. Marked clearly with "WSM 1939", it carries both historical and collector’s value.
 
Knives like this were standard issue for Wehrmacht soldiers, serving as reliable tools in the field. Today, they are increasingly hard to find in such preserved condition.
