WWII-era US Navy lantern, Delta Type K-10A, designed for outdoor deck use aboard American naval vessels during the Second World War. These rugged lanterns were built to withstand harsh sea conditions and played a crucial role in shipboard illumination during nighttime operations.
This example is in solid and mostly original condition:
Original grey paint is still largely intact, showing only moderate wear.
Some surface rust is visible on the front ring around the lamp, consistent with age and naval use.
The on/off switch still functions properly.
All screws can still be removed, making it ideal for restoration or careful display.
Please note: the glass has a visible crack, but remains in place.
Despite the crack, this lantern is structurally sound and a rare survivor from the war, offering authentic character and historical value. A perfect addition for collectors of WWII naval equipment or US Navy memorabilia.
