This is a 1935 German Hunting Association (Deutsche Jägerschaft) door plaque, measuring approx. 8 cm in diameter.
These plaques were originally issued to members of the Hunting Association and displayed on doors or hunting lodges to signify membership and affiliation.
The piece shows detailed craftsmanship and remains a solid example of pre-war hunting association memorabilia. Directly after the war, it was denazified, as was common with many items of this type. The price has been adjusted accordingly.
Despite this, it still represents a unique artifact of Germany’s hunting culture during the 1930s, and it makes for an interesting addition to any collection of hunting history or related memorabilia.
