K98 Bayonet with frog

Offered for sale is an authentic WWII German K98 bayonet, manufactured by Ernst Pack & Sohn, Solingen. This is a non-matching numbers example.

The bayonet comes complete with its original steel scabbard, dated 1942 and marked with the manufacturer code asw (E & F Hörster). The scabbard shows honest combat wear and age-related patina, adding character and authenticity. Please note: the scabbard is missing its tip (ball finial) – this is reflected in the price and does not affect display value.

Also included is the original leather frog, which remains in very good condition with no cracks or tears in the leather– rare to find in this state after more than 80 years.
