Large German WWII Luftwaffe Porcelain Serving Platter – Fl.U.V. – Rhön Stadtlengsfeld, 1942

This original German WWII Luftwaffe porcelain serving platter is an authentic example of officially issued Luftwaffe mess tableware, produced in 1942 by Rhön, Stadtlengsfeld.

The reverse is clearly marked with the Luftwaffe eagle and “Fl.U.V.” (Flieger-Unterkunfts-Verwaltung), confirming official Luftwaffe issue. Beneath this acceptance mark is the manufacturer’s stamp “Rhön – Stadtlengsfeld – 1942”, a well-documented German porcelain producer that supplied the Luftwaffe during the Second World War.

The platter features a large oval form, designed for communal use in Luftwaffe mess halls, air bases, and officers’ dining facilities. Its restrained, functional design is typical of wartime Luftwaffe porcelain, prioritizing durability and practicality while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
