Personenausweis Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft

A Personalausweis für die Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft was a personal identification document issued to employees of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG), Germany’s national railway company during the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich. 

This identification card served as:  
- Official ID for Reichsbahn employees in both civilian and military roles.  
- Access Pass to railway facilities, workshops, and train depots.  
- Work Permit, proving employment with the railway, which sometimes provided benefits or exemptions.  
- Security Measure, especially during wartime, to prevent unauthorized access to strategic railway zones and counter sabotage or espionage.
