WWII German Wound Badge in Black – Unmarked, Block Hinge, Question Mark Catch
Kan beschikbaarheid voor afhalen niet laden
This is an original WWII German Wound Badge in Black (Verwundetenabzeichen Schwarz), awarded to members of the German armed forces who were wounded in action.
This example is unmarked, as commonly encountered with wartime-produced badges. The badge is manufactured from brass, finished in blackened paint, with a magnetic iron pin, a correct and period-appropriate combination for this type.
The reverse shows a solid block hinge, paired with a classic “question mark” catch, both correct wartime features. The pin, hinge, and catch are fully intact and function perfectly, allowing the badge to be worn or displayed securely.
Condition is very good overall, showing honest combat-era wear. The black finish is largely intact with expected high-point wear and edge highlights, consistent with age and use. No repairs, restorations, or postwar alterations are observed.
A genuine and attractive example of a classic Third Reich combat award, ideal for collectors of WWII German militaria, reference collections, or historical displays. Offered strictly as a historical artifact for educational and collecting purposes only.
