Rare 1924 RAD Weibliche Jugend Deferral Certificate

For collectors of rare historical documents, this Zurückstellungsschein (Deferral Certificate) from the Reichsarbeitsdienst für die weibliche Jugend (RAD/WJ) is a remarkable find. Issued in 1924, this document granted a young woman exemption from labor service until 1943, with the stated reason: "Bis zur Musterung" (Until Musterung – official selection or draft process).  

During the Nazi regime, the Reich Labor Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst, RAD) was a compulsory labor organization that played a significant role in mobilizing the workforce for war-related efforts. Young women were required to participate in the RAD/WJ, typically working in agriculture, industry, or domestic service to support the war economy.  

However, deferral certificates like this were rare, as most young women were expected to fulfill their labor obligations.
