Early German SA Bugle – Rare & Complete Example
Couldn't load pickup availability
A very scarce and highly desirable early German SA bugle , preserved in outstanding condition and representing a striking piece of early-period SA equipment.
This example still proudly carries its original applied eagle with swastika emblem on the bell — a feature that is rarely encountered on surviving SA bugles, as these emblems were often removed, damaged, or lost over time.
The bugle retains its original fabric wrapping around the tubing, an exceptionally attractive and important detail that greatly enhances both its authenticity and visual character . Original fabric wrappings are rarely seen intact and are a strong indicator that the instrument has not been altered or excessively handled.
The instrument comes with two different original mouthpieces , both of which fit correctly. The bugle itself is remarkably well preserved , showing only very minor signs of wear and remaining largely free from dents or structural damage — an exceptional state considering its age and intended use.
SA bugles were used during parades, rallies, and ceremonial occasions in the early years of the movement, serving as highly visible and symbolic instruments of the era. Due to their fragile construction and heavy ceremonial use , few authentic examples have survived, and complete sets such as this — with emblem, wrapping, and multiple mouthpieces — are especially uncommon.
A truly rare and impressive early SA artifact , well suited for the advanced collector seeking originality, completeness, and strong display presence.
