Rare 1941 RAD Soup Tureen by Hutschenreuther Bavaria – Complete with Original Lid
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is a truly outstanding and rarely encountered RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) soup terrine , produced in 1941 by the renowned porcelain manufacturer Hutschenreuther, Bavaria . Pieces from the RAD are scarce on their own, but finding a complete soup terrine with its original matching lid is exceptionally uncommon—most surviving examples are missing the lid due to wartime use and post-war handling.
Crafted from high-quality white porcelain, this terrine features the RAD emblem and the crisp Hutschenreuther 1941 maker's mark , both wonderfully preserved. The overall condition is excellent, with clean surfaces, sharp details, and no damage—remarkably well-kept for an 80+ year-old service piece.
These large serving vessels were used in RAD dining halls and field kitchens, making them highly sought after by collectors of militaria and Third Reich porcelain. Complete examples like this rarely surface on the market, especially in such an intact and attractive state.
A beautiful, historically significant, and museum-worthy RAD porcelain piece —perfect for collectors looking to add a premium item to their display.
