Rare WWII German Silver Medal for Merit for Feuerlöschwesen

Exceptionally rare non-portable silver medal (900 fine) , bearing the inscription “Für Verdienste um das Feuerlöschwesen” (“For Merit in Firefighting ”).
The reverse is maker-marked “Preuß. Staatsmünze” (Prussian State Mint). The medal comes in its original fitted case , which remains in excellent condition – a remarkable survivor from its time.
This award was presented to individuals who had rendered outstanding service or achievements in the field of firefighting , typically for exceptional dedication, leadership, or contributions to fire prevention and rescue operations within civil defense organizations.
The medal is beautifully struck in high-grade silver (900) and displays sharp detail with light, even patina. The original case retains its deep color and intact interior lining , making this a highly collectible and display-worthy piece.
