This is an exceptionally rare porcelain set from the Reichsfinanzschule Wöllershof , consisting of a beautifully preserved 15 cm milk jug and its matching 15 cm saucer , both manufactured by Bauscher Weiden . The pieces are fully marked with the “Modell des Amtes Schönheit der Arbeit” insignia — the official porcelain pattern approved by the National Socialist office responsible for standardizing industrial design and improving workplace environments ( Schönheit der Arbeit , part of the DAF).
A Rare Institution: Reichsfinanzschule Wöllershof
The Reichsfinanzschule Wöllershof was one of the elite financial training academies established by the German Reich Ministry of Finance. Located in Wöllershof (Bavaria) , the school trained future higher-level financial administrators, customs officers, tax officials and civil servants. These institutions were small, exclusive, and strictly controlled , producing only a limited number of graduates each year.
As a result, very few items from these schools survive today — certainly far fewer than from the Wehrmacht, RAD, DAF or political organizations.
Porcelain from such specialized administrative institutions is dramatically rarer than canteen items from mass organizations.
Bauscher Weiden – Official Supplier
Both pieces carry the Bauscher Weiden mark, one of the primary manufacturers for DAF, Reich ministries and major state institutions. Bauscher's porcelain was valued for its extremely hard, industrial-grade body — ideal for institutional use — but also for the clean, modern forms designed in collaboration with industrial designers like Heinz Löffelhardt .
The additional Modell des Amtes Schönheit der Arbeit marking confirms that this set conforms to the official DAF standards for form and durability.
