West Wall Medal complete with presentation package. The medal die-struck alloy with a bronze appearance oval-shaped, with a border overlapping oak leaves. At the top of the open winged eagle with swastika and below a crossed sword and shovel which represent the Siegfried line. On the reverse bear the inscription “FUR ARBEIT SCHUTZ DEUTLANDS” which translates “FOR WORK IN THE DEFENSE OF GERMANY.”
The award measures approximately 381mm high, by 289.56mm wide. The award comes housed in a tan paper packet. The obverse reads “Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen” (West Wall Medal), in black print.
