This is an original First World War Austro-Hungarian War Commemorative Medal (1914–1918), awarded to soldiers and participants of the Austro-Hungarian armed forces who served during the Great War.
The medal displays the correct obverse with the steel helmet motif and the inscription “Pro Deo et Patria – 1914–1918”, symbolizing service and sacrifice. The reverse features the imperial shield beneath the crown, surrounded by laurel and oak wreaths with crossed swords — all sharply struck with excellent detail.
This example is in mint condition, retaining its original finish with crisp details and no damage. The suspension ring and eyelet are intact and untouched. It is accompanied by its original period ribbon, which is exceptionally well-preserved, showing strong colors and no significant wear.
