WWII British Foot Powder Tin – Still Containing Original Powder
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is an original World War II British foot powder tin, still containing its original wartime-issued powder. Surviving examples with their contents intact are increasingly scarce, as the powder was normally used up or discarded during or shortly after the war.
The tin remains in solid, untouched condition and displays honest age-related wear consistent with genuine wartime use. The original painted markings are clearly visible, and the screw lid fits correctly. Upon opening, the interior reveals that the original British-issued foot powder is still present, making this a particularly attractive and uncommon piece.
Foot powder was an essential hygiene item issued to British servicemen to help prevent fungal infections, blisters, and conditions such as trench foot during prolonged periods in the field. Items like this offer a rare and very personal insight into the everyday life and medical care of British soldiers during WWII.
