WWII British Gas Mask with Original Carry Bag (1944 / 1943)
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is an authentic World War II British gas mask, dated 1944, offered together with its original canvas carry bag dated 1943. A fine and honest example of British personal protective equipment as used during the later years of the Second World War.
The gas mask itself remains in good original condition, showing clear wartime production characteristics and natural age-related wear consistent with genuine service use. The rubber is still intact, the eyepieces are complete, and all original straps and head harness components are present, which is an important detail for collectors.
The accompanying original British carry bag, dated 1943, retains its correct construction, stitching, and wartime markings, including the crown and “CF” stamp. The canvas shows honest wear but remains structurally sound, making this a very attractive and complete set.
The filter included appears to be post-war, which is commonly encountered. Wartime filters were often replaced after service or removed for safety reasons. The presence of a later filter does not detract from the historical value of the wartime mask and bag and is fully disclosed for transparency.
